# A new chapter

Every release starts with a first draft.
An illustrative file layout, not a live workspace.

Your files. A shared place to write.

Start with your Collections

Scan supported static content configuration and directory-wide Markdown loaders. Review discovered Collections and properties before importing them.

Edit content and properties together

Write visually or open the source. Supported static schema fields become editable properties alongside your document.

Publish through your existing workflow

Review a diff and publish a commit or pull request to the configured branch. Astro continues to build the site from your files.

From your repository to your workspace.

  1. 01

    Connect the Astro repository

Authorize GitHub and connect the repository containing your Astro application, including an application inside a monorepo.

  2. 02

    Review the scan

Confirm the application root, content directories, fields, and editor profiles that Prosefly detects.

  3. 03

    Edit and publish a page

Open a Collection, save a draft, and review the Git changes before publication.

What to know before you connect

Prosefly reads supported static configuration; it does not execute custom loaders or repository code. Remote loaders and selective file patterns may need manual content configuration. Generic Astro sites do not automatically receive a navigation editor.

Published content stays in your Git repository.

Drafts stay in Prosefly until you publish. Review your changes, then create a commit or pull request. Your existing website build handles deployment.
